Getting Here By Air: Most major airlines service San Jose's Juan Santamaria Airport. Puerto Jimenez is approximately a 30-40 minute flight by local carrier from San Jose. Two domestic airlines service all of Costa Rica: Sansa Airlines located at the Juan Santamaria Airport in San Jose and Nature Air at the Tobias Bolerno Airport in the suburb of Pavas.
Both airlines require a check-in 45 minutes prior to departure.

Shuttle service is available to and from Agua Dulce Lodge and the Puerto Jimenez Airport (only a 10 minute drive).
To avoid an overnight stay in San Jose plan to arrive before 12:00 noon and depart on a local flight the same day. If you do prefer to spend some time in San Jose, we will be happy to suggest hotel accommodations.
Getting Here By Car: It is approximately an 8 hour drive from San Jose to Puerto Jimenez. We suggest a 4-wheel drive vehicle if you plan to drive. There are car rental agencies in Puerto Jimenez in addition to local taxi service.
Getting Here By Bus: From San Jose you can catch the daily bus that departs from Transportes Blanco, telephone: 257-4121. The bus station in Puerto Jimenez is about 4 blocks away from our sign at the crossroad. Please advise us if you plan to arrive by bus and we will make arrangements to be here for you. It is approximately a 10 hour ride but it is not unusual for the bus to arrive late.
Getting Here By Boat: You can also reach the Osa Peninsula via a boat from Golfito. There is a lancha leaving from the public dock every day around 11:30. You can also choose from many private boat captains who will ferry you across the Golfo Dulce however, both means are foot traffic only...no cars.
